"It looks like toothless grins run in the family."

"What a wonderful photo. My mother's muff and beret are very fashionable, but I bet she had fun with us , throwing snowballs, sled riding etc. I remember wearing my father's socks over my shoes and then putting on the boots. The photo made me happy, thank you."

""This has always been one of my favorite photos of Tante. She looks so vibrant and,of course, beautiful. If you notice, Eins is the tough one, not wearing any ear protection. Maybe she was destined to be an Alaskan.""

"What a wonderful picture! I do remember the photo, although not the actual day. The snow in Brooklyn was wonderful. We built snowmen and snow caves. My greatest fear was that some of the rougher boys going back and forth to school would pelt us with snowballs. We were no match for them. Getting us into our snowsuits was quite a production, and we'd surely remember we had to go to the bathroom after we were all dressed. Those were the days when we were sent out to play, each and every day. We didn't have kids over to the house like my children and grandchildren did. We belonged outside in the fresh air, and noone worried about our whereabouts as long as we came in for meals. Things were different then! The snow was a wet snow and our clothes had to be taken down the basement to dry after a day in the snow! Thank you for this great picture, and memory. Eileen Kane"

"I love the picture. I just now had time to sign in and see it. Does anyone remember who took the photo? Probably Poppy, if I were to guess (although everyone's heads are visible, so maybe not!:)) Auntie does look beautiful."
