Interestingly enough Josh and I recently had a good long chat about how
weird the humor in america is. For example, the weird " funny"
fat people and "hunky" guys on stationery, additionally, the weird
wooden signs that people love to buy and hang in their kitchens that
say strange things about marital life that are supposed to be
funny...but not in the way that I actually think they are funny, but in
a funny middle aged way. Also, dried wreaths, strange things for
the bathroom, fish that sing and flap, strange magnets, that old lady
on all those hallmark cards, anything funny about drooping body parts
in old age, strange fishing humor, and things about dirty dishes,
chocolate and fat thighs....You get the idea...When Linda saw the card
that Esther sent to me, she said " Makes me want to spit out".
She hasn't been exposed to this kind of humor before and was truly
surprized. I loved it, along with the music and books.
Metaphysics, the dynamism of the number zero, and "monumental"
literature...I can't wait to expand my mind. xo xo xo Xie
Xie Ni, Gracias, Wo Ai Ni, Te Amo...you know, all of that.
